Mistake theorists treat politics as science, engineering, or medicine. The State is diseased. We’re all doctors, standing around arguing over the best diagnosis and cure. Some of us have good ideas, others have bad ideas that wouldn’t help, or that would cause too many side effects.

Conflict theorists treat politics as war. Different blocs with different interests are forever fighting to determine whether the State exists to enrich the Elites or to help the People.

• does mistake theory correlate with mindset?
• does conflict theory correlate with mindset?
• conspiracy would tend to see things more from the lense of conflict theory and in some cases as an extrem form
  • a kind of paranoid schizophrenia
• Is this a good way to capture the the-world-you-live-in of people we interact with?
• It appears to be that both a right and the issue is that people are primed to sensemaking by one of these and not in a concepts.first-principle way.
• why do people not update-upgrade seen from the lense of either one?
  • mistake: they don't seem to learn from their mistake
  • conflict: because of inner-conflicts that don't get resolved no update is happening
  • or it just costs energy to update the brain free-energy-principle
    • but why does it cost energy?
