Never let the future disturb you. You will meet it, if you have to, with the same weapons of reason which today arm you against the present.
– Marcus Aurelius
A noble steed is not annoyed by the barking of dogs. Powerful indeed is the empire of habit. Be your money's master, not its slave. A wise man rules his passions, a fool obeys them. Even calamity becomes virtue's opportunity. Let your life be pleasing to the multitude, and it can not be so to yourself. You are eloquent enough if truth speaks through you.
– Publius Syrus
Keep the prospect of death, exile and all such apparent tragedies before you every day – especially death – and you will never have an abject thought, or desire anything to excess.
– Epictetus
A Stoic is someone who transforms fear into prudence, pain into transformation, mistakes into initiation, and desire into undertaking.
– Nassim Nicholas Taleb

Attachment to Possessions
